Hello
I use Jfilters on a multilingual website. There I do search and filtering of custom fields of com_contact. Works fine.
But because the website has two languages, I need to use language constans for the custom fields. That works fine.
But in Jfilters for the fields values the language constants are shown instead of the correct translations (please see attached image).
How can I solve this?

You can create a template override of the respective module's layout.
The layout file depends on the display type you are using for the filter.
For most display types it is the: modules/mod_jfilters_filters/tmpl/_dummy_elements.php
There in the line 100 replace:
htmlspecialchars($option->getLabel());
with:
htmlspecialchars(\Joomla\CMS\Language\Text::_($option->getLabel()));
But try that with a template override and not by editing directly the layout file.

Will you add this fix into a future update?
I don't like overrides very much, because those files get old because the don't get updated (that actually is the purpose of overrides...).

You are right about overrides.
I already added that in our candidate features list, so possibly will be integrated in one of the future versions.
