Good morning,

I configured a results page and I would like to avoid showing anything when loaded. I would like it to be shown by default the result of a search as wide as an entire category. https://prnt.sc/m4pbxoAZgkXO

I then created a second menu item with the URL of the default search result that I would like to show. However, I see that in terms of rooting it is not ideal and in the menu the results page is selected and not the one with the preset URL. https://prnt.sc/mFDEPW5w2k0F

It follows that if I hide the results page I complicate things further because no menu item is selected following a search.
Is it possible to insert the default search URL somewhere to be shown when the results page loads?

How do I solve this puzzle? I guess I'm not the first to dislike a blank results page...

I read the documentation and didn't find a solution. My need is to create a "search" page in the menu. It is obvious that once clicked the page cannot be empty. Although it is not the solution you recommend, this is the path I have to take. Except other customers had better ideas.

Hiding the menu item and creating another alias item with a result creates a Joomla url management problem.

The alias page will not activate the item in the menu bar because alias is not a possible root url
