Hi,
after upgrading to joomla 4.3.0 everything works fine on the developer site. I transfered the site to the production website and the filter result page doesnt show any results. i deactivated the filter module on the livesite but the result page is still accesible (but doesnt show any results):
du you have a solution?

my provider thinks it could have something to do that my development system (the one that works fine) is an apache based system and the livesystem ist nginx. Does your plugin have any known problems with nginx based systems?

No we do not have any report about an issue with nginx.
You can enable the "System Debug" setting in the Global Config. in case it gives you any message.
If these are not enough i can do some search but i need an admin account and an FTP.

Hi,
we copied the whole page again, same result. (on the nginx machine)
after that, i copied the website to another webspace on the apache machine (works normal)
there seems to be a problem with the nginx configuration, i guess.
Are there any things we have to look for in the nginx configuration that is not standard?
i guess giving you super user credentials for the website wont help in that case, right?
and on the other hand, i cant give you the credentials, because the customer doenst allow it.

I suggest starting by looking at your server's logs for more info.
You can also enable the system debug of Joomla and check the executed queries and code.
Also check if there is any caching layer between php and your database.

if you add "?q=" to the url, the filter works

and this works too:
https://www.mysite.de/index.php?option=com_jfilters&view=results&category=8
any ideas?
as i said in the beginning, I already use joomla version 4.3 and there were some updates in smart search. Maybe it hast something to do with that?

Whatever info i may give you is just a long shot out of nowhere with no much credeibility.
It needs some serious debugging to find out the cause.
If you don't want me to do that, it has to be done from your side.

it seems the NGinx Server wasnt configured right (for Joomla Smart Search q string)
We had to change the URL Rewrite to make it work:
location / {
try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php?$query_string;
}
So, if any of your customers has the same problem, this seems to be the solution.
