The prentation is handled entirely by the template and it's layouts. Our extension does not have any control of it, but i will try to help.

Regarding our blog posts for the resuts customization, can be used with any Joomla template that follows the Joomla's standards for template overrides.

Now i would prefer to give me a url to have a better image, but given the provided information i can do some assumptions.
I suppose that you are using the filtering module in ajax mode, hence:

1. You have not assigned modules in the results page.
When you use ajax it only updates the component area leaving the page's modules as they are.

2. You may not have created a menu item for the JFilters results, or you did not set that in the JFilters filtering module.

As mentioned these are just assumptions.

I am noticing several issues:

1. Your template does not seem  to use bootstrap.
Hence when you load the results through ajax, the bootstrap classes used in your layour (and our blog post) have no effect.

2. When the page is refreshed, the entire page is loaded. In that case the following happen:

a. The component area (i.e. the results) has exactly the same markup/html as before.

b. That page (i.e. results page) has no modules assigned. You may can do that from your modules' assignment settings.

c. The rest of the page seems to have completely different markup and loads a different template.
Not sure if this is related with some settings of your default template or can be fixed by picking the results page from your template's "Menu Assignment" settings.

Also noticing that the T4 templates come with a page builder. Please address to your template devs to know if they support the Joomla's template ovverides.
