When I set the option "Show selections in page title" in the component, the settings have no effect. Could you please move then to the menu item config so they can be set on a menu item basis?
Now the selection is always shown in the page title.

I cannot reproduce that neither.
Have you changed that from the component's configuration or from the specific filter's settings?
To have effect, should be disabled in the filter level.
Update: To have effect if you change that from the component's configuration, you need to set the "Show Selections in Page Title" to "Use Global" in your filters.
Please try these and let me know if resolved.
