I have an existing implementation of Jfilters/Yootheme/GridPro.  I want to add a jfilter to that page using a field that is a Joomla custom field type Timezone.

I can add it, and it appears and is populated with good entries to filter with, but when I click on one to filter the results, I get a 404 error page.  Other filters work fine.

Here is the URL it produces:

https://www.cnvc.org/stageit/filter-results-pages/events-results/category/events/event-time-zone/America%2FNew_York

I'm wondering if the slash in "America/New_York" that is causing the problem.

I do notice that other filters on the page (that work) produce a URL in a slightly different format:

https://www.cnvc.org/stageit/filter-results-pages/events-results/event-country-new/Belgium/category/events

I think it is because of the use of the slash "/" character in your filter's values.

The slash is a url reserved character (i.e. used as a delimiter in the urls).

You have to remove it. If you are using a "List" type custom field for that, you can set a value and a label.
You can keep the label as is and change the value, by removing the slash.

As a rule of thumb try to keep the field values as clear as possible from special characters.
