Hello is it possible to create a template override in the template's folder html/com_finder/search/default_article-alternative.php) and use it with  JFilters Filters Module?

Currently, when overriding the layout (default_article.php) the results for the standard search are also changed.

As far as i understand you want to create a template override of a layout that will be used exclusively by JFilters and not by Smart Search. Is that correct?

If this is what you are looking you can create a template override, only for JFilters, under the folder: templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_jfilters/results

Just use the layouts for the Smart Search (components/com_finder/tmpl/search) under this folder.

Something else that I found when overriding:
On this file: mod_jfilters_filters/tmpl/default.php, line 9
"\defined('_JEXEC') or die();", maybe it schould be "defined('_JEXEC') or die();" (without the fisrt symbol)?

\defined('_JEXEC') or die();

if you are referring to the backslash (\) at the begining, it is more correct this way, as it does not mess with the file's namespace.
It will work without it, but can mess with the file/class if you have a function with a similar name.
